Member Roles and Guidelines;
Why Become A Member Of B.A.D.G.E.?
This program has been created on a much needed national level to bring the much needed help together, to help solve cold cases. A force of one, if you will, where all the experts are in one place. The B.A.D.G.E. members can be utilized in there field of expertise without having to run all over the country trying to find those experts and wasting time. Not all members will be used in every case but will be available when needed and called upon.
Each member should be willing to work cases on a pro bono bases and expect to have expenses of the case you work, paid for.
All members of the B.A.D.G.E. program, are to inform B.A.D.G.E. of any and all grants that are available in your field that can be obtained to help pay for those expenses. This is to include in lab and on scene.
If any case approved by B.A.D.G.E. to be worked, has a reward posted on it, such as for information leading to an arrest or convention, through that case or crime stoppers, a bank fund ect..., and B.A.D.G.E. solves the case, the reward funds is to go to B.A.D.G.E. for expenses of working other cases.
After each case is closed, all members working that case will outline and invoice the cost of that case chronologically with each expense to the case, and turn it into B.A.D.G.E....
Case assignment and case load will come from B.A.D.G.E. headquarters.
Each case will be looked at to see what members expertise will be needed to help solve the case. Each of those members will be informed of the case information and asked if they will take the case or they need to assign someone from your department to work the case.
If you don't have the time and hand the case off to someone else in your department, you must inform B.A.D.G.E. of this and that person must be a member of B.A.D.G.E....
All members of B.A.D.G.E. must work together, who have been assigned to a case.
Members will keep accurate reports on the case and send all reports to the B.A.D.G.E. headquarters for filling.
If any member happens to receive a cold case you think B.A.D.G.E. can help with, you are to inform headquarters of this case with your recommendations.
Some B.A.D.G.E. members may be needed at a crime scene. Those of you will need to be ready to go to a crime scene within proper notice from headquarters. You will need to make provisions to get there. Provisions for time you are there and getting back. You will need to stay in contact with headquarters at all times to inform them of your progress. Keep reports of everything and everyone you talk to before, during and after your return. Have a check list of all equipment taken and a list and report of any evidence gathered.
All members are to help build B.A.D.G.E. by getting others you know to join B.A.D.G.E. to help strengthen the program.
